Pede Beach, the Best Place for Sunset Hunting in Labuan Bajo

Every evening, this beach located on the outskirts of Labuan Bajo City is always filled with both local and foreign tourists. Apart from its easy accessibility, the beach's white sand is a major attraction for visitors. In the evening, it becomes a favorite spot for tourists to hunt for the setting sun or sunset.
To make the experience even more enjoyable, the beach has coffee stalls. The price of coffee is quite affordable, with some as low as Rp 5000. Everything is adjusted to suit the visitors' budget. The cool breeze at the beach also makes tourists feel comfortable and at ease.
"The view here in the evening is truly beautiful. The sunset is so stunning. Pede Beach is perfect for sunset hunting. And having a cup of coffee here makes it even more complete," said a local tourist when met at Pede Beach on Sunday (30/7/2023) evening.
Pede Beach, which is close to Labuan Bajo, is the only beach that tourists can visit near the city. Therefore, this tourist spot needs to be well-maintained, especially in terms of cleanliness.
"This beach is beautiful, but its cleanliness is not well-maintained. Maybe it's a shared responsibility for everyone, starting from the government to the local community and business owners. We all have a responsibility to preserve this tourist spot," said Carli.
He also urged the West Manggarai Regency Government to place personnel at Pede Beach to ensure orderliness, from vehicle parking to waste disposal. It's worth noting that Pede Beach is located about 500 meters from the center of Labuan Bajo City. Visitors can reach the beach by either two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles.
Entrance to Pede Beach is free, and tourists don't need to worry about buying entrance tickets.
