This Botanical Garden is developed with the theme of conserving plants from the Lesser Sunda Islands, considering that Lemor Botanical Garden is the first and currently the only one built in the Lesser Sunda Islands bioregion.

There are many interesting places that can be used as photo spots in Lemor Botanical Garden, which can be utilized by tourists to capture moments while visiting KRL.

There are several large replicas of fruits, and besides that, there are thousands of mango trees planted neatly, along with several buildings.

The garden's decorations are also beautified, and the pathways to the garden are also well-maintained, making it an ideal photo spot for tourists who love to capture their travel moments.

The weather at Lemor Botanical Garden is not too cold nor too hot, making it highly recommended for families with young children or elderly members.

The location of Lemor Botanical Garden is very strategic, situated along the tourist route to Mount Rinjani. It takes about 2 hours or a distance of 70.8 km from the provincial capital city of Mataram, making it easily accessible by private or public transportation.

Meanwhile, the travel time from the center of East Lombok Regency itself is approximately 35 minutes.

The construction of Lemor Botanical Garden began in 2007 when the central plant conservation team surveyed several locations in NTT (East Nusa Tenggara) and NTB (West Nusa Tenggara). Based on the feasibility analysis, the Lemor Protected Forest in Suela Village, East Lombok, was chosen as the location for the development of the botanical garden.

On May 18, 2010, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and the East Lombok Regency government, along with a cooperation agreement between the Plant Conservation Center (PKT) Lemor Botanical Garden and the East Lombok Forestry Office. These cooperation agreements were later extended again on May 18, 2015.
