Socialization of General Guidelines and Program Management Manuals of P3TB

The Regional Infrastructure Development Agency (BPIW) held the socialization of the General Guidelines (Pedum) and the P3TB Program Management Manual (MPP) on Friday, January 21, 2022, in Surabaya, East Java. This meeting was held to achieve a shared understanding and perception among the Central and Regional Governments in carrying out coordination and commitment in integrated and sustainable tourism development.

This event, in particular, aims to strengthen the joint commitment of the government and local government in integrated and sustainable tourism development in Indonesia to improve community welfare, strengthen the joint coordination system between both the government and local government to synchronize policies to integrate integrated and sustainable tourism development programs to improve community welfare and socialize integrated and sustainable tourism development programs.

This socialization was initiated by Edy as the Head of the Bina Marga Office in East Java Province. He said that economic development in Java Timut in the third quarter of 2021 grew by 3.23%. East Java contributed to a decrease in the number of poor people by as many as 313,130 people.

"Efforts to collaborate and support all parties, east Java's economic development performance in the third quarter of 2021 was recorded at 3.23%. Of the total national poor population of 26,503,650 people, the decline of the poor population is as much as 1,039,120 people. Until January 2022, East Java contributed 313,130 people or 30% of the total national poverty reduction. This achievement certainly needs to be used as a joint encouragement to jointly rise from the economic downturn during the pandemic, "said Edy.

Thus, as part of efforts to accelerate sustainable tourism development, synergy is needed with various parties, one of which is through strengthening the synchronization of planning and budgeting using holistic, integrative, thematic, and spatial approaches. As one of the commitments of the East Java Provincial Government, namely the establishment of an Integrated and Sustainable Tourism Development Acceleration Pokja, that represents collaboration from various stakeholders to realize sustainable tourism development,

He also hopes that this forum can be the initial milestone in the establishment of a synergy of tourism development acceleration after the pandemic and build a conducive and productive ecosystem and networking in East Java.

On June 25, 2021, the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru in East Java Province became one of three new priority tourist destinations under the amendment of the P3TB loan agreement between the Government of Indonesia and the World Bank.
